It captures the occurrences of coastal blooms for 126 out of 153 ocean-bordering countries worldwide. Compared to prior global coastal phytoplankton datasets like HAEDAT and NASA&#8217;s chlorophyll a standard product, this dataset presents a more compelling trend in phytoplankton occurrence. Users can utilize this dataset to explore the spatiotemporal distribution characteristics of global coastal phytoplankton from 2003 to 2020.
